Dear Parents,
We have had some big days of creative expression, starting with Odyssey completing their weeks of practice and presenting their finished performances on Saturday. We will get to view their productions this Thursday at 1:45 in the cafeteria. We also had a tremendous assembly Monday morning with Joe Craven, an accomplished musician. He presented a montage of instruments, some conventional, many multicultural, and several handmade; think garbage cans and discarded thermoses. You may be hearing lots of rhythm pounded out in some form, as our students improvise and follow his advice that we all have stories we can share through art.
We are in transition this week, working to complete and package up our weather portfolios and begin our rain forest adventures. There are many things to assist with, so please feel free to come in to help!
Math Switch is continuing with Olders practicing the concept of multiplication and Youngers working on facts to 20. Much appreciation to the help you gave your Olders to finish their first test-prep packet.
We have been able to go over those and are sending #2 home today. Youngers are being asked to write a new story using as many two syllable words as possible. A challenge! All students have math homework.
The next PAG Meeting is next Tuesday, March 16th. The agenda is available online. If you are unable to access it, please let us know and we can get one to you.
As always, we thank-you for your continued support and involvement.
